The place was beautiful! It had everything we needed and was within walking distance to the beach. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The host was very responsive throughout our stay regardless of the hour ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall an amazing getaway for a family vacation.
This was a great house on a quiet cul-de-sac in Manzanita just outside the potential tsunami zone. Very well-stocked with kitchen and beach gear and had great kids games and toys. We booked at the last minute when we saw the rate listed as half-off, so the price felt reasonable, but would've been too much for us normally. We would definitely stay here again if we found another discounted rate.
Lovely property for our son and his 3 kids and grandma and grandpa. Easy access and close to everything
We had a great stay. Location was close to the beach and hiking trails. The home was comfortable. A great big couch to watch movies on. We were there during a cold spell and it took a bit to get thermostat to reach 72°. But there were plenty of blankets for lounging.
We had a hard time contacting someone to get in since the passcode to the door wasn't working. 45 mins later someone contacted us to give us a code to get a set of keys since the door code system wasn't working. 44 mins with 2 very young kids tired of being in the car and cold.... we even sent a message no reasponds. We were left with half a roll of paper towls for 2 familys and 3 kids. No back up. Had to call around to see who was open on Christmas.... not how i wanted to spend a part of my Christmas especially when we paid to have those kind of amenities available. All rentals we have ever stayed at gave us 1 back up roll. The 1 ply toilet paper was really annoying. We ended up using twice as much. Your not saving monry by giving guest the cheap tp. The heater in the master bedroom needs yo be fixed; loud buzzing after a few mins of heat blowing. Woke my daughter abd myself up a few times through the night.... Other than that the place was beautiful and clean. We appreciate the kid toys. Other than the hiccups we enjoyed our time.
Beautiful home. Had a fun weekend wine tasting with with friends. I would definitely stay there again!
This house was fantastic! Great for our big group with ample beach chairs and towels. We particularly loved how dog friendly it was :).
Really enjoyed this location. It ended being a great location for all the activities we ended up doing, including a long hike that the trailhead ends literally across the road that leads to the house. Walks into Manzanita were also nice. Checkout process was simple and appreciated.
it was great experiance .
The house exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for our group of 10 people. The open floorplan was ideal, so we could all hang out together in the kitchen, dining room and living room. Great location, too!
Great stay! Perfect for a large group of friends on a surf trip. Lots of space for surf boards and dogs and fun dinners.
The home layout and furnishings were great for our young kids and dogs. Kids plates, cups, cutlery and a potty seat were nice surprises. Spacious and well appointed, only drawback is there wasn’t much natural light, but we got plenty of that at the beach. Steepish walk to either beach or town, at least 15 min either way on road shoulder but not much traffic. Peaceful spot, very clean except for ants in the bathroom.
Overall, I had a a great stay. Communication by the host was slow before reserving and upon arrival and entry into the home. Other than that, everything was stream lined.
The place is clean, all essentials for cleaning, cooking, washing of clothes and dishes, as well as trash management products are all provided.
Family games are provided, as well, as described in there description. Grill works well and the patio is wonderful, especially the roof as it rains.
Back yard is smaller than the pictures depict. There is a leash on an anchor to prevent dogs from wandering into neighbors yard, as there is no fenced in back yard, so, either have your dog leash trained or e-collar trained to prevent them from roaming around neighbors yard.
Place is easy to find and has enough parking area for 2-3 cars. Driveway will be too crowded with more than 3 average sized vehicles, such as Subaru outbacks.
The restaurants nearby are delicious. I recommend The Happy Elephant and SteepleJacks.
Nice house, lived up to pictures, good location close to town & beach - 20 minutes or so to walk to the beach, so driving might be necessary. Parking in town was easy to find (we stayed in December). Very clean unit! Cleaning team did a terrific job. \n\nA few things to note: aside from salt & pepper there are no other staples in the kitchen so bring everything including cooking oil, basic spices, etc. Management needs to do a walk-thru of the unit - burned out light bulbs in kitchen and bathroom, sofa table with screws ready to fall out, front burner on stove doesn't work, etc. We messaged the property management with a couple of concerns, but did not hear back during or after our stay, so low responsiveness level
Lovely and thoughtful vacation home at the coast!
